RMACC 2018

Globus will present in two sessions at this year's Rocky Mountain Advanced Computing Consortium’s (RMACC) 8th annual High Performance Computing (HPC) Symposium, Aug. 7-9 at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Globus sessions include :

  • Talk: Globus: Beyond File Transfer (Wed. Aug. 8, 2:30-3:30 p.m.): Globus is a research data management service for easily and securely moving, sharing, and publishing data. This presentation will provide a brief overview of Globus, review notable events in the evolution of the Globus service over the past year, and provide an update on future product direction.
  • Tutorial: Integrating Globus Into Your Applications and Workflows (Thurs. Aug 9, 8:30-10:00 a.m.): During this hands-on tutorial, students will learn how to integrate Globus data management capabilities into their own applications and workflows, using the Globus REST APIs and Python SDK.

Recognized as one of the top regional events on high performance computing, the HPC Symposium brings together faculty, researchers, industry leaders and students from throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.  In addition to the keynotes and presentations from industry and educational leaders, the symposium features a wide array of panel discussions and tutorial sessions.  Applications of high performance computing in cancer and other medical research, and overcoming gender bias in the HPC field are the topics for keynote speakers this year. /p>
